Glenshiel Estate is situated in a magnificent location in Glenshiel Forest, an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. The Estate boasts spectacular scenery to the north and west with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Five Sisters of Kintail (a classic ridge walk taking in three Munros) and Loch Duich which boasts the world famous Eilean Donan Castle on its northern shore.
Glenshiel Estate is ideally located with easy access to Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye as well as the charming villages of Glenelg and Dornie. Both these villages have great highland pubs where a warming lunch or supper can be had after a tiring day walking or biking in the area.
Shiel Lodge, located near Shiel Bridge, gives Glenshiel Estate a traditional touch and can accommodate up to 16 guests comfortably. Guests of the Lodge often wish to partake in hill walking on and around the Estate along with stalking or fishing on the Estate. Colin Campbell, Stalker on Glenshiel, has a wealth of experience and can provide some very exciting sport on the dramatic hills of Glenshiel. Fishing for salmon and trout is also available on the Shiel River and local ghillies can be available upon request.
Glenshiel is a walker’s paradise, with numerous Munros in the surrounding area. We hope you enjoy learning about Glenshiel Estate and you are welcome to visit us any time.
